A classic ... in a beautiful Art Nouveau decor, friendly service (for Paris), and very decent food. Worth the visit.

Place was super busy when we entered at 7pm on a Tuesday. We barely scored a table for 2. Reservations are a must. Try to be in the main room to enjoy the history of the place.

We settled on a large seafood platter, with extra sea urchins. And sweetbreads. Finished with a couple of desserts. Pouilly wine to accompany all this. Our waiter was very helpful and despite the high price tag, we really enjoyed our experience.

Please don't go here. Literally the worst dinning experience of my life. The food was mediocre and the service was horrific. I live in Paris so am use to slow, inattentive service but this restaurant was unacceptable.

The room itself is worth a look, beautiful details. Bustling, loud, typically harried waiters. They have a menu in English and a menu in French. We were 2 Americans and 1 French so the French took the French menu which appeared to be better! Her food seemed better too. The oysters were just okay and I did not like my trout but my companion loved her salmon. Our French friend scored with a beautiful tuna tartar and a sea bream. The profiteroles are damn fine. It gets packed, so reserve. I am sure there are better places, but it is an experience. They do offer a 35 euro 3 course which is a pretty good deal if you order correctly.

Rude, snobby, horrible service and horrible fishy smelling food, swimming in sauce with no flavor did not even finish the meal.
    Huge disappointment!!

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant late on a Friday night after 9 pm, when most other restaurants seemed to be closed and only bars were open in the neighborhood. We were happy to find this place, recommended by and within walking distance of our hotel, open and English friendly.

As I was not very hungry, I ordered the french onion soup, and my boyfriend had the steak frites. The soup was not great - watery and not very flavorful, but it did have a good layer of cheese on top. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his steak, cooked to a perfect medium, and the fries were crispy, which he shared with me. We also ordered a full bottle of sauvignon blanc (the second least expensive, quite good actually), which our waiter kindly put in an ice bucket next to the table. Our waiter was very polite and checked in multiple times through our meal, even refilled our wine at one point.

My boyfriend and I would definitely return on service alone, which was much better than other restaurants we visited in Paris, but I would skip the soup next time and order their seafood specialty dishes.
